imdb summary: Paradise kiss (2005). Top high-school student seeks some purpose in life. A group of fashion design students ask her to be the front model for their clothing label "Paradise Kiss". Although she finds them weird, she accepts and soon blossoms as a person.
I don't even know where to start with why I love this anime so much... if you're familiar with the mangaka Ai Yazawa and her works, that is reason enough to watch. If you've never heard of Ai, Parakiss is special because it feels real. It isn't a perfect love story, and the characters are very complex. Do you love them or hate them or something in between? I love how Ai Yazawa incooporated fashion and music into NANA, and Parakiss is no different. All the visuals in this anime are so breathtakingly beautiful. It is worth mentioning it is a continuation of Gokinjo Monogatari, but it is also a stand alone in its own way.
